The Biophysics program is ideal for those interested in physics, biology, and chemistry. This interdisciplinary Bachelor-Master study program offers a unique education in the physical, chemical, and biological foundations of biophysics. The program is designed so that graduates can find opportunities not only in biophysical fields but also in physics, chemistry, or biological-pharmacological areas. The program is supported by the departments of Physics, Biology, and Chemistry: The investigation of interdisciplinary questions in biophysics often follows completely new approaches that can only arise through collaboration between these three areas. The study provides equivalent foundations in the three natural sciences and also includes basics of mathematics and computer science. The curriculum includes modules in biophysics throughout the entire bachelor's program, along with courses in inorganic chemistry, genetics, cell biology, plant physiology, mathematics, classical physics, physical chemistry, animal physiology, electromagnetism, optics, organic chemistry, and biochemistry. The program concludes with a project and a bachelor's thesis.
