About the Program

The string instrument course primarily includes individual instruction in the major subject, rehearsal, and audition training, respectively. Much emphasis is placed on distinctive project work in chamber music, university ensembles and the university orchestra. All students have the opportunity to perform in regularly scheduled university evenings. Required subject areas include music theory, ear training, solfège, analysis, and piano for general musical education. Methodological training is an integral part of the course, and students also acquire basic practical working skills.
