About the Program

Chemistry is an interdisciplinary field based on underlying concepts, theories and models that contribute to a rational-critical view of the world. Chemistry is required for the production and application of a great variety of materials in industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and in the private household sphere. This dual-subject bachelor's programme allows students to study Chemistry either in connection with a non-teaching career goal or as a professional teaching qualification. The programme prepares graduates for careers that require knowledge of chemistry and interdisciplinary skills in natural sciences, including positions as science editors, overseeing training of chemistry laboratory technicians, in science centres, and in adult education.
