About the Program

In the chemistry bachelor programme, students acquire a thorough knowledge of the basic rules that determine the composition and properties of compounds and materials. After establishing the basics in mathematics, physics and especially general chemistry, all aspects of modern chemistry are addressed comprising contributions from inorganic, organic and physical chemistry as well as biochemistry, quantum chemistry, analytical and polymer chemistry. Students develop their capability to address chemical problems on a scientific molecular level. Laboratory courses form an integral part of the study programme.
