About the Program

The cooperative Bachelor's program in Civil Engineering leads to a first professional qualification. And in parallel to a skilled worker qualification in a corresponding construction profession, for example as a concrete and reinforced concrete builder, mason, road, canal, pipeline builder, drywall installer, or carpenter. Through practice-oriented teaching and broad-based education on a scientific basis, students are enabled to pursue independent professional activities in the fields of construction and are able to recognize the effects of structures on the natural and social environment and to reduce adverse consequences as much as possible. The training in the basic subjects enables students to recognize essential relationships and to achieve the flexibility needed to meet the rapidly advancing technical development. The content of the courses is constantly adapted to the requirements of construction practice and new scientific findings. Modern methods of computer science are taught in CAD pools equipped with the latest computer technology and current software. The faculty's numerous well-equipped laboratories support teaching through the possibility of experiments, projects, and research projects.
