Civil Engineering - Construction, Environment, Management

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

About the Program

In the Bachelor's program 'Civil Engineering - Construction, Environment, Management,' you first acquire the necessary basic knowledge in statics, building materials science, and design theory to safely tackle complex construction tasks. Early in your studies, you learn how sustainable construction works: You plan and build resource-efficient, energy-efficient buildings using modern methods such as BIM (Building Information Modeling), 3D visualization, and smart tech applications. At the same time, you develop infrastructure concepts for roads, bridges, and water and wastewater systems - from the initial idea to practical implementation on site. In environmental technology, you deal with water protection, soil remediation, and alternative energies before playing through aspects of project management, financing, and marketing of construction projects in the real estate management module. Practical projects and excursions round off your studies: You work in teams on real construction sites, expand your network, and gain experience with external partners so that you can contribute to real future solutions from the start. The program offers four possible specializations from the 3rd semester: Structural Engineering (KIB), Infrastructure and Environmental Planning (IUP), Environmental Engineering (UIW), and Real Estate and Facility Management (IFMT).
