Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)

About the Program

The course in Design offers bachelors' degrees in the disciplines Fashion Design, Woodwork/Product & Object Design and Textile Art/Textile Design. The core of course is the intensive combination of craft skills and creative energy. Studying at the college in Schneeberg enables you to receive solid practical and theoretical training through concentrated work in small groups with optimum support from the teaching staff in modern well-equipped studios and workshops. For many years the course has been collaborating with partners from industry and research. This is the precondition for practice-based teaching as we understand it. In line with your individual wishes you can focus more on design and industry or on an artistic orientation. You will be prepared for a wide variety of careers as a designer and a craftsperson in the arts. This is shown not only by numerous design prizes but also, above all else, by our graduates who are working successfully as designers or craftspeople in the arts with their own labels or for well-known companies.
