About the Program

The double degree Bachelor's programme in "Nautical Sciences" is a cooperation between Hochschule Wismar in Germany and PoliMARIN Semarang in Indonesia. By combining the strengths of both universities, we are able to offer an outstanding programme for future graduates in the field of nautical sciences. The Bachelor's programme is focused on the growing demand for qualified nautical staff in maritime hot spots like Indonesia, Asia, and around the world. The Bachelor's programme has a duration of eight semesters. The first semesters will be held at PoliMARIN in Semarang, Indonesia and the seventh semester will be held at Hochschule Wismar in Rostock-Warnemünde, Germany. In the final semester (writing the Bachelor's thesis), students can choose to study either in Indonesia or Germany. Graduates of the study programme in Nautical Sciences will receive a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) from Hochschule Wismar as well as an Indonesian degree from PoliMARIN Semarang.
