About the Program

The study programme focuses on the management and control of medium-sized companies, especially in Germany and France. The programme aims at imparting subject-specific qualifications, perfecting the respective foreign language skills at a subject-specific level and acquiring knowledge of two university systems. The programme creates a new type of graduate that supports smaller and medium-sized companies on the path to internationalisation. The programme is part of the network of the Franco-German University / "Deutsch-Französische Hochschule". Main subject areas at HTWD: Introduction to the management of small and medium-sized companies, operational and strategic controlling, value chain management, technology and innovation management, resources and uncertainty in strategic management, additional preparatory intensive language course Main subject areas at Université Paris Nanterre: Management and entrepreneurship for small and medium-sized companies, logistic and business strategy, industrial relationships, cross-cultural block, finance and accounting Added Value Wider range of skills and abilities: Innovative study concept with integrated practical relevance to medium-sized companies and dealing with two economic and professional worlds Extension of the offer of both Master's programmes through an international and intercultural perspective Getting to know a different linguistic, cultural, academic and professional environment Acquisition of intercultural competences and improved opportunities in the European or international labour market Studying in cohort in a German-French study group Less administrative burden: Study plan and automatic recognition of study and examination achievements No tuition fees at the partner university More chances: Cooperation with industry and business start-ups Funding and support of DFH-UFA Franco-German University
