About the Program

The Economics program at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Campus Essen, aims to develop the ability to identify economic problems and critically evaluate economic concepts in terms of their contribution to solving these problems. Students are enabled to contribute independently to solving such problems by applying knowledge of economics and methods of empirical economic research, and to critically classify scientific findings.
