About the Program

Energy Engineering deals with the technologies required to provide, distribute and utilise electrical energy, heat or another form of energy in an environmentally friendly, efficient, safe, economical and future-oriented manner. In addition to advanced lectures on thermodynamics and fluid mechanics, decentralised and regenerative energy generation, energy storage and efficient combustion technology are also covered. Supplementary courses on simulation methods and energy economics specialise graduates in solving future problems in the energy sector. The program includes a six-week basic internship, two field trips, a student research project and a 14-week internship in an industrial company or a research institution. The Bachelor's degree course in Energy Engineering is not an independent degree course, but one of six possible sub-courses of the innovative Bachelor's degree course in Engineering.
