About the Program

The Engineering Bachelor's degree programme at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences gives students the opportunity to develop high-tech solutions and shape the technologies of the future. The program starts with an orientation semester allowing students to discover their strengths and interests. From the second semester onwards, students choose their specialization from areas such as electronics, robotics, sustainable product development, or a combination of technical and business topics. Students can choose two focus fields from six different areas of specialization (Electronics, Information and Communication Technology, Robotics, Sustainable Product Creation, Business Operations, Entrepreneur- and Leadership), with at least one of those fields having to be technical. The program emphasizes intercultural competence through studying in English, digital competence using state-of-the-art media and AI tools, and methodological competence to prepare students for their future careers. The curriculum includes core modules in mathematics, mechanics, programming, electrical engineering, and business fundamentals, followed by specialized courses in the chosen fields. The program also includes a group project, an internship or semester abroad, and concludes with a bachelor thesis. The degree prepares graduates for careers in industry, research or project management with a focus on practical experience and internationality.
