Environmental Systems Science - Dual-Subject

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)

About the Program

Whether climate change, environmental pollution or the invasion of alien animal species - many problems can hardly be solved with the help of individual scientific disciplines alone. Environmental systems scientists develop formal approaches, for example mathematical equations or simulation software, to analyze such complex issues and thus maintain an overview. In the dual-subject Bachelor's degree course in Environmental Systems Science, students deal with human-environment systems, consider water, soil and air as resources, analyze the associated local and global risks and develop new approaches to environmental and resource protection. The study program is closely linked to the research topics of the Research Center Institute of Environmental Systems Research (IUSF), where students can also complete their study projects and Bachelor's thesis.
