About the Program

The interdisciplinary degree program Engineering of Technical Systems (EtS) provides students with a broad and well-founded knowledge of the mathematical and scientific fundamentals of engineering sciences in order to enable them to develop as well as operate technical systems. The specialisation in electrical engineering first builds up an in-depth mathematical, physical and engineering understanding of electrical engineering and, based on this, deals with electrical engineering applications. Students are taught the basics of electric and magnetic fields as well as direct and alternating current technology, before they are intensively introduced to the individual sub-areas of electrical engineering. This specialisation deals with measurement and sensor technology, control and automation technology, process control and instrumentation technology, power electronics as well as analogue and digital circuits. The dual program combines theoretical university phases with practical work phases in a cooperating company.
