ETS Mechatronics Dual

Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.)

About the Program

The interdisciplinary degree program Engineering of Technical Systems (EtS) with specialization in Mechatronics represents a combination of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science. Students are taught the corresponding basic and advanced knowledge in all three individual disciplines, and are shown their interaction and dependencies on each other. They are enabled to design complex systems taking into account mechanical, electrotechnical and information technology aspects. The degree program does particular justice to the interdisciplinary orientation through many additional elective options and overlapping courses with students from other specializations. Mechatronics graduates can meet the requirements of different industries and customers and are prepared for various mechatronics-based fields of application through modules such as computer science, electronic components or technical electrodynamics. The program follows a dual model with alternating phases at the university and in a cooperating company.
