About the Program

The Master's degree program in Financial Management and Controlling offers in-depth study in the areas of controlling, financial management, accounting and business taxation. The program includes practice-oriented seminars, projects and case studies to ensure a consistent practical orientation. It prepares students to take on commercial management functions and qualifies them for specialist and management positions in financial management or as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of an organizational unit, both in a national and international context. The program consists of two full-time study semesters followed by a third semester for writing a master's dissertation and taking a cross-disciplinary financial management seminar. Teaching is distributed over a three-day week from Wednesday to Friday. The program also offers opportunities for international experience, including a four-week summer school in China and the option to spend a semester abroad at one of THI's partner universities.
