About the Program

Your personal aspirations are at the centre of the entire Master in Management programme at HHL – from the content to the practical experience. You select the focus of the programme according to your personal and professional interests. You choose how to shape your practical experience. The full-time Master’s programme consists of four elements designed to educate and train innovative, responsible, and successful future leaders: The Welcome Weeks, General Management Essentials, General Management Competencies, and the General Management Deep Dives. 1. Welcome Weeks: Where your HHL adventure starts! The Welcome Weeks offer a dive into the HHL spirit. Through a range of intercultural team-building activities, you will embark on your unforgettable HHL adventure. You will get to know classmates from all of our programmes and from all corners of the world and lay the foundation for a powerful network that will support you not only through your studies, but far beyond. Refresher courses on business management fundamentals will also ease you into the programme, and an initial introduction to the Leipzig Leadership Model will begin your transformation into the future leader of your aspirations. 2. General Management Essentials: The key qualifications of tomorrow Here you lay the foundation for your management career. Three pillars impart a balanced mix of fundamental and state-of-the-art management know-how: Business Administration & Economics, Leadership & Reflection, Entrepreneurship & Disruption. 3. General Management Competencies: Practical experience at its best! Whether working with a company on a real-life problem, studying abroad or gaining practical experience through an internship, the connections and relationships students build will benefit them far beyond graduation. A selection of unique opportunities allows you to apply your newly acquired knowledge and skills: Field Project, Practical Deepening, and International Experience. 4. General Management Deep Dives Depending on goals, career paths and personalities, the Deep Dives will provide you with the opportunity to specialise on those topics that will benefit your personal and professional development. You can select two from four possible tracks: Strategic Management Financial Decision Making Transformation Management Digital Entrepreneurship To complete your Deep Dives, you can additionally choose from four further options, depending on your needs and priorities: One or two courses from Deep Dives that have not been selected Extra courses from the study period abroad International study trip Open course, e.g. Corporate Social Responsibility HHL also offers a new Finance track. Students who choose this track specialise exclusively in finance courses in the Deep Dives: Financial Decision Making Advanced Financial Challenges Add-ons (Advanced Excel Modelling, Big Data Analytics in Finance, Case study seminar with CFOs)
