About the Program

The Graphic Design program focuses on ideas and methodology in response to the challenges presented by the changing communication society with its global information processes. The fields of activity include typography, editorial design, photography, illustration, printmaking and their combined and interdisciplinary application in various media, both analogue and digital. The professional field of graphic design comprises the design, conception and staging of visual messages in the field of media, often with a pictorial/illustrative or typographic focus. The development of complex projects, some of which are interdisciplinary, as cross-media solutions increasingly determines what is taught and professional practice.
