About the Program

The programme objective is to acquire professional qualifications for the design of complex, technical products. Students learn to develop industrial products in such a manner that the modern, technical possibilities are maximised through intuitive operation of the product. The program focuses on developing competent industrial designers who are good at working in teams and can develop logical applications complementary to a product's physical characteristics. Students learn all relevant fundamentals of design in the fields of product and interaction design. The program includes an internship semester (preferably in semester 6) lasting at least 16 weeks at a design firm, company, or university abroad. Special emphasis is placed on interdisciplinary team projects where design students collaborate with engineers from mechanical engineering, computer science, and electrical engineering.
