About the Program

The University of Kassel is one of the leading universities in Germany, and indeed in Europe, in the fields of energy and the environment, environmentally friendly construction, environmental systems research, and ecological agricultural science. IWU participants will benefit from this technical knowledge when they participate in the following English-taught seminar, offered by experts from the respective departments at the University of Kassel: Environmental Engineering – Renewable Energy Sources (45 hours of instruction, 5 ECTS) Students gain an extensive overview of environmental engineering issues not only from a local perspective but also from a German and a European perspective. This multifaceted approach allows students to look into different aspects of the subjects concerned and to develop their own research focus. German Language Course (30 hours of instruction, 3 ECTS) In addition to the academic seminars in the respective disciplines, all students attend intensive German language courses. These courses are offered at three different levels (from beginners to advanced).
