About the Program

Design is the creation of the visual appearance of a product and its usability. Design is therefore not just about shape, colour and appearance, but also about ensuring that a product fulfils a function. This program combines functionality and aesthetic product design. Students work on technical as well as artistic and socially relevant topics. The program structure includes scientific and engineering fundamentals in the first 3 semesters, specialized studies and practical projects in the 4th and 5th semesters, and a practical phase with Bachelor's thesis in the 6th semester. Students acquire knowledge in design, engineering, materials science and natural sciences, learning to develop solutions for complex issues in product design, development and sustainability.
