About the Program

The aim of the Bachelor's degree programme in Mathematics is to convey a basic education in mathematics. Students acquire the skill of abstract thinking required to understand mathematical texts as well as the mathematical terminology that is necessary to ensure precise communication. Graduates are able to understand and apply mathematical models in science and business. The programme also helps students improve their ability to analyse and solve problems, communicate and subsequently improves their resilience. This is a 50% program where Mathematics is paired with another subject of equal importance, providing interdisciplinary education. Students wishing to pursue teacher training to later teach in a German "Gymnasium" must complete this programme to progress to the Master of Education.
