About the Program

The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with Information Technology aims to equip graduates with knowledge, skills, and abilities to be flexibly employable in science-oriented fields, economics, technology, and other areas, and to communicate with representatives of other disciplines. The curriculum is based on fundamental courses in mathematics - such as analysis and linear algebra - and computer science - such as algorithms and programming. The program first establishes school knowledge on a scientific basis and then builds it up to the state of knowledge that forms the foundation of modern mathematics. In the second year, the focus is on content needed for applying mathematics in various areas of technology and economics, including stochastics, ordinary differential equations, numerics, statistics, and programming practice. The third year offers students great freedom in setting a study focus through elective courses, allowing for individual specialization in basic research or application areas. The program concludes with a written bachelor's thesis.
