About the Program

The development, construction and building of machines are the focus of the mechanical engineering program. Concrete application examples include machine tools, 3D printers, the design of production lines as well as robotics and automation technology. Other content includes planning for implementation, operational organization, improvement and optimization of production processes as well as quality management. Based on the fundamental scientific-technical methods and findings of mechanical engineering, essential skills and abilities for practical application in the profession are taught. Therefore, through the practice-oriented study, students acquire the qualification to design, conceptualize, calculate and optimize mechanical engineering products. In the course of digitalization (Industry 4.0), the contents of the courses are constantly adapted and expanded to meet the requirements of industry and new scientific and social findings.
