About the Program
The eight-semester bachelor's programme provides the professional foundation to expand musical skills and abilities and to make music the focus of one's future professional life. In almost all the degree programmes offered at the HfM Würzburg with an instrumental core subject or voice, students can choose between an artistic and an artistic-pedagogical orientation in both the classical and jazz fields. The artistic courses primarily prepare students for a professional concert career as a soloist or as a member of an instrumental or vocal ensemble. The artistic-pedagogical courses focus on practical relevance to later work as music teachers in music schools or as freelancers. Other specializations include conducting, elementary music education, church music, composition, or music theory.
