About the Program

Are you ready to get your engineering degree? You can get started with us even if you don’t meet the usual admission requirements for German universities! PreStudyING@HSRM is a study preparation programme aimed at obtaining a direct university entrance qualification for the Bachelor’s degree programmes offered by the Faculty of Engineering at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible to directly enrol in one of our engineering programmes without having to attend a German preparatory course ("Studienkolleg"). The programme starts twice a year and takes 12 months to complete. It includes the following elements: Intensive B2 and C1 German language courses to prepare you for the DaF (German as a Foreign Language) test and academic challenges Specialised courses in mathematics, physics, and computer science designed to prepare you for an engineering degree Workshops on key academic and future skills for your academic and professional development Individual support and social activities with other German and international students Do you already have German language skills at the B2 level? The PreStudyING@HSRM preparatory programme is part of the “Succeed@HSRM” project, which is funded by the European Social Fund and the State of Hesse from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2028.
