Process engineering revolves around the technical procedures surrounding the transformation of materials into products. It is highly diverse and interdisciplinary in nature; the processes it encompasses might be mechanical, thermal, chemical or biological. The course commences with a grounding in key aspects of science and engineering in theory and application, alongside modules in business and law. In the further course of the programme, students specialise in one of the following focal areas: Process plant engineering and construction, Numerical simulation and process control, or Food technology. This part of the course includes a practical phase. The seven-semester course concludes with the writing of a Bachelor thesis.
