About the Program

The Bachelor's program in Dance (BAtanz) aims to train and individually promote creative, expressive dance personalities who have a wide spectrum of techniques in ballet and contemporary dance and can use their qualities with confidence. Students develop skills to creatively participate in artistic work processes and are able to reflect on themselves and the art form of dance in an interdisciplinary as well as historical and social context. During their studies, students are encouraged and supported to develop social and political engagement, to contribute confidently and responsibly in groups, and to positively shape group processes. The educational model rests on 7 interconnected pillars: technique, creativity, body awareness, theory, project work, interdisciplinarity, and performances.
