About the Program

In an increasingly digitised world, media does not simply reflect our reality, it significantly shapes and alters it. The Visual Communication Bachelor's programme offers a practice-oriented education that equips students with the design skills of the future. Students work in modern studios for video, virtual reality, animation, print and prototyping, under the guidance of experienced lecturers. The curriculum encompasses key areas such as Design Thinking, Conceptualisation, Strategy, development of animated visual projects, Information Design, and Storytelling. The 6-semester program includes modules in Art, Design & Cultural Studies, Design Thinking, Tools & Technologies, Visualisation (Graphics, Illustration, Animation, Film & Photography), Interaction & Interfaces, Narration & Visual Storytelling, and culminates with a Bachelor Thesis and Final Project. Students learn to use the latest design software and creatively utilize the potential of modern AI applications in their work.
