Studienkolleg is a 1-year university preparation program for international students whose high school diploma is not directly recognized in Germany (Anabin marked H- or H+-).
Goal: prepare students for German university level. Ends with Feststellungsprüfung (FSP) exam.
5 main tracks (Schwerpunktkurs):

- M-Kurs — Medicine / Biology / Pharmacy
- W-Kurs — Economics / Business / Social Sciences
- G-Kurs — Humanities / Languages / Philosophy
- S-Kurs — Language and Literature
Turkish students: Turkish high school diploma is Anabin H+ — Studienkolleg NOT required, direct application possible.
Who needs Studienkolleg: India, Pakistan, China, Vietnam, Egypt, Syria, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka (Anabin H-).
Types: Public (free, ~€250 social contribution/semester), Private (yearly €5,000-12,000). Public Studienkollegs are highly competitive.
