About the Program

The master's degree program Applied Life Sciences (ALS) is a multidisciplinary bridge program that connects biological, pharmaceutical and medical sciences. It integrates modern areas of life sciences such as stem cell technology and tissue engineering with borderline sciences from the pharmaceutical as well as the nano- and micro-areas. The program enables in-depth and independent work in the fields of molecular biology, protein chemistry, cell culture and pharmaceutical engineering. Practical exercises and lectures provide interdisciplinary content and links to pharmacy and micro- and nanotechnology. The courses are mainly offered at the Zweibrücken campus, with some courses in pharmaceutical technology and toxicology held at the Pirmasens campus.
