Master of Education (M.Ed.)

About the Program

Biology is the science of living nature. It describes and researches the manifestations of living beings, their life expressions, their relationships with each other and with their environment. Biology includes subjects such as anthropology (human biology), botany, evolutionary biology, genetics, microbiology, molecular biology, ecology, and zoology. Biological research contributes to preserving the environment and shaping our future living conditions. From an observational and descriptive science of earlier decades, biology has developed into an experimentally oriented discipline with a variety of different methods, including those from neighboring sciences such as physics, chemistry, and mathematics. Molecular biological methods have found their way into medicine and biotechnology. The teaching-related Bachelor's and Master's studies include modules in biology didactics in addition to scientific modules.
