About the Program

Chemistry is primarily an experimental science which considers the development, characteristics and transformation of matter. Building on the Bachelor's degree programme 50% in Chemistry with a teaching degree option, the specialised knowledge acquired will be expanded and strengthened. Further focus is placed on specialised didactics and chemistry experiments to be used in schools. Graduates will have competencies including practicable specialist knowledge in chemistry, ability to record and evaluate information about chemistry, identify key issues to structure different areas of chemistry, knowledge of essential working methods, possession of practicable didactic knowledge, ability to design and evaluate curriculum concepts, and possession of specialised knowledge to design teaching and learning processes in chemistry.
