Chemistry

Master of Science (M.Sc.)

About the Program

Chemistry is of central importance in our daily lives. The Master's degree course in Chemistry at TU Braunschweig allows students to set their own specializations from five pillars: "Chemistry in the Life Sciences", "Biophysical Chemistry", "Materials Chemistry", "Molecular Chemistry" and "Chemistry of Energy Conversion". These specializations are strongly research-oriented and impart the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge. The program builds on expertise from the Bachelor's degree and prepares students to work on complex scientific issues independently. The modular structure allows for combined studies with other natural science faculties, major research facilities in the Braunschweig research region and foreign partner universities. Students complete a Master's thesis in English or German as an independent scientific research work.
