About the Program

The Master's degree course in Environmental Science and Technology builds on the foundations of the Bachelor's degree course to provide in-depth scientific and engineering knowledge and skills. Students acquire subject-specific knowledge in one of six specializations: Circular economy, Environmental chemistry, Sustainable engineering, Environmental microbiomics, Environmental process technology and Water quality engineering. This holistic approach prepares graduates for professional requirements in industry and public institutions. Students learn procedures, methods and strategies for the detection, assessment, prevention, reduction and elimination of environmental damage, environmental risks and environmental pollution. The program teaches expertise and skills necessary to understand and design technology- and ecosphere-related processes in the environment and at the interface between the environment and technology on the basis of scientific and engineering principles. Graduates have comprehensive knowledge in waste management, soil science/protection, air pollution control, environmental systems engineering, noise protection, environmental chemistry/analysis, environmental microbiology, environmental process engineering, and water pollution control.
