About the Program

The Masters study programme in Molecular Biomedicine is a strongly research-orientied, interdisciplinary and interfacultary study programme of the Medical Faculty and the Faculty of Natural Sciences. Further organisations supporting this study programme are the Germany Diabetes Center (DDZ), the Leibniz Institute for Environmental Research (IUF) and the Hemholtz Research Center Jülich (FZ Jülich). The study programme builds on a previous successful Bachelor degree in Natural Sciences (such as Biology) or a degree in Human Medicine and is aimed at research-minded students who are passionate about a scientific career. The curriculum includes focus areas in human diseases, with comprehensive and integrated curriculum in molecular, biological and medical life sciences. The program has four different focal points: Cell & Organ Biology; Immunology, Infectiology, Inflammation & Stem Cell Biology; Metabolism, Metabolic & Cardiovascular Diseases; and Bioinformatics, Structure & Diagnostics.
