NanoEngineering

Master of Science (M.Sc.)

About the Program

The Master's program in NanoEngineering deepens the knowledge acquired in the Bachelor's program and teaches scientific methods for analyzing and developing complex nanoscale systems over four semesters. Nanotechnology focuses on the production and use of materials and structures that are smaller than 100 nanometers in at least one dimension. This key technology of the 21st century has been developing dynamically and interdisciplinarily for years and has great potential for industrial applications. With a specialization in Nanoprocess Technology or Nanoelectronics/Nanooptoelectronics, graduates have excellent career prospects in industries such as electronics, chemistry, communications, energy technology, automotive engineering, optics, healthcare, and environmental technology. Worldwide, approximately two million experts in this field will be needed in the next 10-15 years. The program includes both theoretical and experimental methods, with modules divided between the chosen specialization, modules from the other specialization, and overarching modules. The program concludes with a Master's thesis.
