About the Program

Students in this master's programme will learn to conduct independent academic work in the field of experimental and molecular nutrition science. After an introduction to current issues in nutrition science, topics on the molecular, cellular, and organismal levels will be covered. The primary focus of this programme is on transferring the theoretical skills acquired into practical laboratory work. The programme will further impart comprehensive knowledge of and hands-on experience in biochemical, molecular biological and cellular biological methods as well as how to work with various model organisms and conduct human studies. The flexible Nutritional Sciences degree programme allows students to focus on methods and topics of personal interest in modern nutritional research early in their studies. Moreover, they will have the opportunity throughout the program to learn and practice the proper means of documentation and presentation of scientific results. Finally, the programme includes a great deal of independent project work and individual course selection.
