About the Program

The Renewable Energy Management (REM) Master's program contributes to the management of renewable energies worldwide through its holistic concept. The overall objective is to educate specialists for the management of energy resources and technologies – a global issue which needs a well trained workforce from the policy to practitioner level. The focus is on the promotion of renewable energy sources in Africa, Asia and Latin America. The program emphasizes a holistic approach, considering both technical and socioeconomic aspects of energy management. It is application-oriented, aiming to educate experts in the field of renewable energy management. It requires diversification of knowledge and leads to the capability of cross-linked thinking. Participants are provided with appropriate knowledge, methods and skills to analyze current problems in the field of renewable energy usage and related sectors. The study objectives include understanding global energy supply systems and their interrelationship with environmental problems, evaluating renewable energy resource potential, analyzing current technologies and economics of conversion methods, evaluating environmental impact, and planning and managing renewable energy projects. Ideal candidates are recently graduated students or professionals with working experience in public or private institutions, authorities, or enterprises of the energy sector. The program consists of 120 ECTS credits with core modules, elective modules, and a thesis in the fourth semester.

Application Requirements

* Üniversite derecesi: Mühendislik, doğa bilimleri, coğrafya, mimarlık veya çevre bilimleri alanında, programla açıkça ilişkili bir Bachelor derecesi
* Minimum GPA: Alman not sistemine göre 3.0 (1 en iyi, 4 minimum geçme notu)
* Başvuru anında mezun olunmuş olması gerekir
* İstenilen çalışma alanıyla güçlü bir ilişki (ilgili modüllerde minimum 15 AKTS) gösterilmelidir
* Yabancı derecelere sahip başvuru sahipleri için: belirli kabul koşullarını karşılamalıdır
